LEE BARBOUR :: LA POMPE

This jazz collection was a commission project created with Charleston based jazz musician and composer Lee Barbour. Some call it gypsy jazz, gypsy swing, or jazz manouche. This time we're calling it by another one of its names, hot club jazz, and chose the title "La Pompe" which is when rhythm guitar in this genre uses a special form of strumming known as "la pompe", i.e. "the pump".
